This month on Digging Deeper we’re looking into our Parts Specialist George in our south office.
George grew up all over the United States, moving from base to base as his father was enlisted in the U.S. Army. Now he lives in western New York with his wife and two sons. When he’s not working at ConEquip, he’s coaching his sons’ football and baseball teams; around the office you can see him carrying his coffee in his custom “Coach George” yeti tumbler. He’s also the resident movie guy in the office. If anyone needs a movie recommendation, he’s the guy folks go to.
Prior to joining ConEquip in our sales department, George was a sales manager at CarMax, and before that he worked as a miner 5000ft underground in a zinc mine.
When asked about what he loves most about his job, he said it was helping customers.
“I know how frustrating it can be when you have equipment down and you need it to complete a job. Helping my customers get back to work is very satisfying! I love that my customers talk to me like one of their friends or coworkers. When people are honest and real about their situation it allows me to do my best job for them.”

When asked how ConEquip is different from other parts suppliers, George detailed:
“The biggest benefit to our customers, going with ConEquip Parts vs any competitors is that they only need to make one call. Once I have the information on what they are looking for I’m going to let them know all the options I have for them. They could be looking for a bucket cylinder and I may be able to lay out an option for a good used, rebuilt or new replacement. With different options, the customer is able to make a choice on what is best for their machine.”
“We [also] have nearly two decades of experience to understand that selling the cheapest part is not always the best route. We will help solve a problem not just sell a part.”
