Seamless steel pipe and ERW pipe have their own advantages and limitations.
Seamless pipe works excellently under high-pressure and high-temperature with the help of high strength and good integrity, but they do cost much higher. ERW pipe has high cost-effectiveness and versatility , but they don’t last as long as seamless pipe especially under extreme pressure and temperature working conditions.
Compared with ERW pipe, seamless pipe has remarkable strength and durability with a higher cost; on the contrary, ERW pipe owns good cost-effectiveness and multi functions, but with a shorter lifespan in contrast to seamless pipes.
For applications with extreme high-pressure or high-temperature, seamless pipe is better.
For normal projects, ERW pipe is a practical choice, although they are not so solid under extreme conditions.
